I have tried very unsuccessfully to cut my clothes down to basics and accessories to try and create a capsule wardrobe. I love the whole mix and match concept. I used to subscribe to Marie Claire solely for their section on taking a few basics and making them go a long way (I don't think they do that anymore though). I have way too many plain colored items and need to find a few cute printed pieces to have some more options on the "final upgrade." Seriously, thank you for this post - it was really fantastic! This is totally my favorite post yet. I love the whole mix and match concept.
