Okay, first of all, I have to make one thing clear, THIS IS NOT A MATERNITY DRESS!
When I first saw the ‘Perfect Form Dress’ in the DownEast Basics Catalog I knew I had to have it. I ordered it and took a leap of faith that I could squeeze into it even though I am pregnant. Natalie told me that she thought this was a risky dress to order because of the fabric. She said she thought it looked like it might be clingy and not very flattering for some. I considered what she said but decided try it out anyway, and to my pleasant surprise it fits wonderfully! This dress has a higher waistline and small pleats in the front and back making for a flattering fit for anyone. It falls over all of those areas that many of us don’t want our dresses to ‘cling’ to. I truly believe this dress will be flattering on pretty much all body types… not just the ‘XS’ people out there. (Although it will look fabulous on them too.) I am SO happy with this dress, I would recommend it to anyone!
*As far as sizing goes, one thing I have noticed about DownEast Basics (generally speaking) is that their clothes tend to run a little big. Right now I am wearing a medium in most cases, so I ordered a small and it fit great. Keep that in mind if you decide to place an order! (But don’t be mad at me if I am wrong, you can always do an exchange!)
