Dang oh Dang. Battle of the dresses:

Can you tell a difference? I sure can’t! Which makes me angry because I bought the one onthe right from Forever 21 for $34.50 (plus shipping) And I just found the one on the left for $17.99! Too bad it’s too late to return the one I have! When I bought it, they didn’t have it showing on a model… so it looked long enough. (and it’s not) If I would have seen these pictures, I would have known better!
(I actually just looked in my closet and the tags are still on! Do you think Forever 21 will cut me any slack? I don’t have a receipt… but not only is it too short, the sleeves are what I like to call, fake sleeves! Non existent!)
On left: Make Me Chic for $17.99, 34 inches long.
On Right: Forever 21 for $34.50, 34 inches long.

I think you’ll be able to exchange it. I know they have a zero return policy on accessories but I don’t think for clothing. It’s worth a shot though-you have nothing to lose
Speaking of ordering things that are too short…
I ordered the Tuxedo Dress from Down East Basics and the Lorraine Dress from Delias and both were way too short. I’m 5′8″ and the Tuxedo Dress came closer to mid thigh than knee length. The Lorraine Dress was closer, but still not close enough. Major bummer
If they still carry the dress then they will totally let you return it. Worst case would be an in store credit.
I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to return it and just get in-store credit. I just found your site through another blog and I love it!
Dang. Sorry about the dresses being too short! That is a major bummer! I know for me (I’m 5′1) that my dresses have to be at least 35 inches. So I post anything 35 inches and longer. However, that is obviously not long enough for everyone. So I do apologize for that. When available we post how long dresses and skirts are in inches, so hopefully you will be able to figure out how long your dresses and skirts need to be so that this won’t be an issue. Again, way sorry! But this could be the perfect excuse to buy a Vintage Hem! (They are spendy… but I REALLY want one!)
I love it! But it is too bad that there are no sleeves and that it’s too short!! I hate when that happens.. But I am short too so sometimes I’ll find dresses that are perfect but would be short on others. I guess that is one advantage we both have!!

Well, if you can’t exchange it, is there any way you could wear it as a tunic, with skinny jeans or leggings? Or even tights and a fitted long sleeve shirt, in the winter? I just got a Boden catalog today and was surprised at all of the tunic tops that look like minidresses.
Well, I even thought of getting a Vintage Hem… but… I would also need to buy a shirt for underneath because of the sleeve issue… so it could work… but just a lot of work!
Oh funny! I saw this one on ModCloth for $60.00!!! I didn’t get it, but I was surprised that ModCloth wanted so much compared to Forever21, which I thought was a pretty good deal until you posted this!
