Ciao Ciao. Happy Shopping!
image: not around photoshop right now so this is what you get: me being shocked by such great sales!
I have been in love with Mango ever since I saw my first store in Salzburg, Austria. I love it ALMOST as much as H&M. almost.
I found some great stuff for sale on their online shop!! The site wouldn’t let me open individual items in new tabs so you will just have to go look around but here is the link to their sale page.
A lot of their stuff is in larger sizes and super discounted as well so make sure you get there quick!!
(forgive the shaky iphone shot, the serious need for a manicure and the awkward hand pose)
This is an actual shot of what i actually wear on my hands every day. My point: accessories can be fun, useful and add color and intrigue to any outfit.
Now I realize that not everyone is as hard core about the types and amounts of accessories as I am but that doesn’t mean that accessories aren’t for you!
I think extras for an outfit are all about trying something different and transforming a look. Yes, I wear tons of jewelry most days but I also try and change it up.
For instance:
If you always wear big earrings, try little ones or vice versa. No jewelry? Try a necklace one day. Too much jewelry? (cough, cough) try tapering it down once in a while.
Of course, accessories aren’t just about jewelry. Scarves, hats, bags and so much more are all part of it as well. It’s all about the style and personality of the person!
And like I always say, Go Big or Go Home!!
What are your favorite, staple accessories? What trends in accessories do you really like right now? Are you into the tiny 90’s box purses thing? How about the spikes on shoes? Leopard print? Native American colors? Over-sized headbands? Leave us a comment and let us know!
I’m kinda digging this bohemian look. And I think it would be perfect to wear out to lunch with your girlfriends! Thanks Ashlin for sending me the link to the top!
Last week my friend Maggie was in town visiting and we wandered over to Anthropologie… and I got this tiny windows dress (in the pink… but in the photos it looks MUCH better in lavender). I am in love. They actually didn’t have my size, so it’s in the mail but I’m really excited for it!
It was 50% off…. only $59.95… AND it’s 39.5 inches long!
There is a good chance that if you see me at a BBQ this summer that I will be wearing something similar! I’m all about simplicity, especially in the heat!
-Natalie
To me, summer clothes means lots of easy cotton and linen. I’m not so much a shorts kind of girl, so I love wide leg, breezy trousers. And I love wearing white.
Here’s my BBQ outfit, but just be careful with the BBQ sauce on those white pants!
-Emily
Shirt at Old Navy for $22.99
Pants at Old Navy for $25.00
Belt at Gap for $34.50
Shoes at Endless for $79.95
Necklace at Macy’s for $85.00
Another great outfit from Jessica! I will post links tomorrow. (Considering how late I’m posting this, I’m sure you can tell my day has been a little hectic!)
Oh man, can you tell I’m craving summer? For several reasons but the main three are: one. the weather. two. the pool to open (Memorial Day Weekend). three. there is a library a stones throw away from my house (literally) that has been in the process of being built and was supposed to open “winter 2009″ Well, it’s now supposed to open July 2010. Yes, makes me mad that they tricked me, but I can’t wait for it to FINALLY open!
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be your best friend after this post! eShakti’s tag line is: We design. You customize! They have several already modest dresses like the ones posted above… but they also have sleeveless dresses that you can customize and put sleeves on! Or if you don’t want a cap sleeve but want a full sleeve, you can do that too!!! You can choose your length, sleeves, neckline, and bra size! Talk about amazing! AND their prices are totally affordable, they range from $39.95-$59.95 (not including the customizing). Okay so I can’t take all the credit! Thanks to our reader Lauren for sending me the link to this awesome store! (seriously Lauren… awesome find!) AND if you buy two dresses, you get 30% off on the second, if you buy by Valentines Day! SORRY, JUST ADDED THE LINK!!!
I am pregnant! We will be welcoming our second little boy into our family in April! I am currently 20 weeks and starting to show. I’m going to be posting some of my favorite maternity finds, along with clothes that work while your pregnant… even if their not ‘maternity.’
I absolutely love this little black dress from Gap! It is available online only for $69.50.
My friend just emailed me about b&lu and let me tell you! So many cute options for plus size women! (seriously wanting all the clothes in my size) I’m sure you will be seeing a lot from their site here on Sensibly Styled!
Okay, so I think this dress is super cute… but I think it would look even ’super cuter’ (hehe) if someone who was 4 or 5 months pregnant was wearing it. It is made out of stretch cotton so it would hug your little baby so perfectly! Call me crazy… but I think that would be CUTE!
First off, I love your blog. I am so happy to have finally found some like-minded women when it comes to being fashionable yet appropriate. My husband says I dress like a frumpy housewife – which I am, by the way! I am a 33yo mom to 5 little ones. I barely have time to get THEM dressed and off to wherever they need to go, let alone worry about dressing myself! I recently completed my first triathlon (and in the training process lost nearly 50 pounds and dropped from a size 14/16 to an 8/10!!). I am on the taller side (5ft 7in), but still with some mommy belly (hey, 5 pregnancies in 6 years will do that to you) and larger thighs/hips (mostly genetics, but also from biking). Husband just came home from work and said we have a dinner with the boss coming up! YIKES!!! I have no clue what to wear. This dinner will be with a bunch of new physicians and their spouses at the Department Chairman’s house. It is probably business casual dress. What do I wear? Thanks for your help!
~GWN
GWN, congratulations on your first triathlon and getting in shape! I love hearing success stories like yours! I have put together a very casual outfit however, I stayed away from blue jeans to help it not be too casual. The boots I put in the outfit (for this outfit) would be worn under the jeans, however, they would look super cute paired over some skinny jeans! I love the blouse and the pop of color it will give this outfit. Have fun shopping for your new figure and I’m sure you will look amazing!
Quick disclaimer… I know in the picture that the black jacket and the black skirt look like two different shades, however, I still put them both on there… don’t judge! It’s the idea of the outfit that counts anyways… right?!
My husband and I are taking an anniversary (lucky 13) trip to Maui in a few weeks. We will be hiking, chilling on the beaches, going to great dinners, etc. I would love a few outfits that would look great for our different activities. This time of year makes finding warm weather clothes especially challenging. Any ideas you have would be great.
Thanks,
Julie
Hello! I am loving your blog and was hoping you could help me. My name is Lynette W. and I live in West Virginia. My dh and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary with a fall trip to Maine. Our last couple only trip was 10 years ago, so this is a very special trip for us. We will be doing everything from a windy boat cruise, to hiking along rocky shorelines, to eating in nice restaurants. We are also going to be Bed and Breakfast hopping, so I want to pack light, if I can. And I want to look, well, you know, HOT! Can you help me find some interchangeable pieces that will help me do that? Pretty please?
Thank you!
Hello Ladies! How exciting! Both of you are soon going to be celebrating your anniversaries with a much deserved vacation! I put together the most basic things needed for a vacation. (In my opinion at least) I always pack at least one of each: pants, capris, shorts. That way I can have some variety and can choose depending on weather. One great thing about taking summer trips in fall… everything is on sale! I found you guys some awesome sale items at Jcrew that will be perfect for the beach, and walking along the rocky shoreline! Super cute swimsuits matched with a super cute cover up or linen pants and a cute tank are perfect for the sand! Also, Lynette, when it is windy you can pair your linen pants with a tee and a sweater. (Oh gosh, this makes me want to take a trip out to the Oregon Coast ASAP!) These sandals from Ocean Minded, make we want to die… I think they are SO cute! Enjoy your trips and congratulations on your anniversaries!
And for a night out on the town… our reader Catherine S. sent me a style board that she made for her 5th anniversary… Thanks Catherine! It came right in time for this anniversary post! If you would like to see where to purchase these items, please visit Catherine’s blog! THANKS!!!
