I don’t know how often you give advice- but I thought I’d send you an email to see if you could help me out.  My family and I are going on a vacation in 2 weeks.  We’ll be out on a beach and most of the time probably not doing anything fancy… or even makeup! haha But, we do want to take family photos on the beach… and I also want to do a few of me and my hubby. I’m looking for something cute, cheap, and that could be easily matched to something for my hubby and the rest of the fam.  My hubby is usually a shorts and tshirt guy but I want to find something for him that’s a little nicer but not too dressy.

Any help would be great.  Like I said, I don’t have a lot of money- very little actually….  But anything would be appreciated, thank you!”

Hi Amy!  I think you’re plan for a family picture on the beach (not to mention the beach vacation!) sounds great!  I think we get so worked up about family pictures sometimes, thinking that they need to be so formal and choreographed.  And sometimes, sure, it’s nice to have everyone looking their best…but sometimes it’s nice to be carefree and natural.  I definitely want memories like that on my wall, too.  I wanted to find something that you can wear your whole vacation, and then some.  I put together an outfit of very simple and comfortable pieces, but when it’s all together it would look nice enough for a family picture, but casual enough so that you can run around with your kids as soon as the picture is taken.  You could even have your swimsuit on underneath!  For the rest of the family, just keep everyone’s outfits summery and bright fun colors.  Add in a perfect blue ocean and sparkling sand, and you have a great picture!
