They have several already modest dresses like the ones posted above… but they also have sleeveless dresses that you can customize and put sleeves on! Or if you don’t want a cap sleeve but want a full sleeve, you can do that too!!! You can choose your length, sleeves, neckline, and bra size! Talk about amazing! AND their prices are totally affordable, they range from $39.95-$59.95 (not including the customizing).  Okay so I can’t take all the credit! Thanks to our reader Lauren for sending me the link to this awesome store! (seriously Lauren… awesome find!) AND if you buy two dresses, you get 30% off on the second, if you buy by Valentines Day! SORRY, JUST ADDED THE LINK!!!

I went through all our past posts, which is A LOT and tried to find them all, I know I’m missing some, but hey. it’s a start! Please enjoy, and sorry this is just now being done!

(Also, when you search under Outfit, that is where you can find a lot of the emails we have answered)

Bonny D! Congratulations! Please email  me with your size and shipping address!

For everyone else, thanks so much for participating and making this giveaway fun and successful. Next time I’ll try to make it more clear as to which outfit is by which person. And I’ll try to figure out why it only allows one vote per network, and not one vote per computer… (really sorry about that)

ALSO, if you want to know where to find the things in the outfits, if the outfit was made on polyvore, you can click on the picture of the outfit and it will take you to their polyvore page and show where everything is from. IF they didn’t make their outfit on polyvore, than you are out of luck… at least from me. It would just take way too much time to post where everything is from. I’m sorry. But there are 26 outfits! I’m sure you understand… Thanks again everyone, and a huge thanks to DownEast Basics for the giveaway!!!

Stephanie Gardner, Can I Brag?

Posted in Uncategorized on January 29th, 2010 by Natalie – 3 Comments

Can I take a moment to brag?  When I was in college at BYU-I, I had the best roommates ever! Like, seriously, we had SO much fun together. Anyways, two of my roommates were freaking awesome artists. Hilary (linked to her etsy shop), who does graphic design and did the graphics for this site, and Stephanie who is a rad painter. Well, Jane’s first birthday is coming up in March and I wanted her to have something really special, and Stephanie created this for her! This is just the digital version, but she is painting on a 1′ by 2′ canvas. I am so excited! What do you think? What kind of special gift did you give your kids on their first birthdays?

Anyways, if you ever need a great artist for something… these two are great. And you should definitely look them up!

AND I’m extending the giveaway, outfit entries will be accepted thru Saturday the 30th. Thanks!!!

What colors can redheads wear?

Posted in Outfit on January 26th, 2010 by Natalie – 16 Comments

Ok, I’ve always respected you gals and your opinions in fashion emergencies, so I thought I’d drop you a line. I have fair skin and I’ve been a blonde ever since high school, so my fallback valentine’s day outfit has always been bombshell-red. This year, however, I’ve started dying my hair red (strawberry blonde) and I’m still figuring out what colors I can and can’t wear. What on earth can I wear for my valentine’s day date that will still knock my hubby’s socks off, without making me look like Belle Watling from Gone With the Wind??

Any other general redhead advice will be much appreciated as well :)

Thanks for your awesome blog, and your commitment to modesty!

Allisan

Hi Allisan!

I think you are asking a great question. Although I don’t have all the answers… I did a little hollywood look up. Here are a few of the beautiful redheads in Hollywood, and look at all these pretty colors they are wearing! Red. Purple, Blue, Pink. And they all look amazing! I think the main trick, is just to pick something out and wear it with confidence. But I will say, I think purple would be my top pick! (Yes, I do realize that the blue dress isn’t modest, however I wanted to show you that color with her hair, I also tried finding pictures of Julianne Moore, because we all know she is a very beautiful redhead, but I found that she wears a lot of neutrals… )

Readers, do you have any redhead advice? Please share!!!

Peace. Natalie

I can’t wait to see what you come up with! If you don’t have Photoshop or another program to make your outfit with, use polyvore (simple, easy and free to use), or email me the links! Whoever’s outfit gets the most votes, wins the item they chose! (And yes, you can use whatever means you want to get votes, posting your outfit on Facebook, blog, or wherever else! But it will only allow one vote per computer!) Good Luck Ladies!

I am lucky enough to own all three of these items and I love them all, I’m wearing the longitude cardigan right now and it is so comfy! I got it on Monday and think I have worn it around the house everyday since! And this lost in love dress… well I LOVE it! I think the cut, the fabrics and the color choices are amazing! I obviously chose the navy color… because for some reason I am really into navy. And this adorable tulle flower headband… I got it in black, and again, have worn it several times since getting it, and it’s only been a week! So ladies, do your magic. Make me an outfit!

(In the picture of me above I am also wearing tights from We Love Colors (I’m just now realizing I probably should have worn a different color…)and my shoes are Crocs!)
